The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has begun reviewing a series of recent Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications.

Last week, the SEC released a document requesting public comment on the Bitcoin ETF application. But the review process doesn’t officially begin until the application is published in the Federal Register.

The SEC has filed five ETFs to list on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) — Wise Origin, WisdomTree, VanEck, Invesco Galaxy, ARK 21Shares has reached out to comment.

A separate document also seeks comment from BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, which has applied for a Nasdaq upgrade.
