Series of NFT Phishing Scams Swipe More than $3.5 Million

Another scammer is currently prowling the crypto internet, operating under the name Monkey Drainer. Reportedly, he or she is employing phishing scams and has so far taken off with over $3.5 million, while swiping ETH worth some $1 million just this week.

This specific phishing scam is based on fake NFT minting sites, which lure users into unknowingly giving their credentials to Monkey Drainer. The sites have copied the Wolf Game, Bored Ape Yacht Club marketplace, as well as an alleged Aptos airdrop, among other known NFT projects.
