LGND established a partnership with Warner Music Group to create a Web3 music platform built on top of Polygon (MATIC/USD).

Winamp also released a new update adding support for Polygon non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and both of these are developments that can boost the appeal of the Polygon network.

Warner Music partnership and Winamp NFT Support as catalysts for growth

LGND.io, an e-commerce and interactive platform builder, conducted a multi-year strategic partnership with Polygon (MATICUSD) and Warner Music Group to create a Web3 music platform known as LGND Music.

This partnership will enable Warner Music Group artists to launch digital collectibles on the app and desktop platforms.

They will be able to interact with their fan base through unique content as well as curated experiences. Polygon was selected due to its low gas fees and quick transactions.

Alongside this, in their latest update, the classic Windows media player Winamp integrated music NFTs onto the platform.

Winamp’s new features in version 5.9.1 aim to let users play audio files that are embedded within their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and have called the development a Web3 desktop upgrade.

Winamp now supports ERC-721 and ERC-1155 audio and video files and has compatibility with Ethereum (ETH/USD) and Polygon, according to the press release.
