Rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg has released a new NFT collection series, the Snoop Dogg Passport Series, whose utility evolves with this summer’s tour dates. The tour kicks off July 7th in Vancouver.

According to the official website, the NFT is like a “tour poster that evolves with each stop Snoop makes on the tour.” Owning an NFT gives you access to behind-the-scenes content, exclusive merchandise, art and a variety of experiences.

Also announced as part of the Passport series is Snoop Selects, a curated NFT collection that will be airdropped to all passport holders.

“Throughout my career, I’ve always pushed things forward,” Snoop Dogg said in a press release. No one has ever done that before.I have always been a pioneer and digital goods are part of the future.I hope other artists will see my work and continue to innovate on their own. I have,” he continued.

The “Snoop Dogg Passport Series” was created in partnership with Web3 platform Transient labs and talent agency WME. Chris Ostoich, COO of Transient Labs, helped design and create.

Passports can be purchased for approximately $42 (approximately ¥5900) via NFT payment service Crossmint, or 0.025 Ethereum (ETH) via cryptocurrency wallets.

Snoop Dogg and his son Cordell Broadus have been actively collecting NFTs and investing in crypto assets for the past few years. Snoop Dogg has also hinted at plans to turn his hip-hop record label, Death Row Records, into “the first major label in the Metaverse.”

In March 2021, he released his first NFT collection entitled ‘A Journey with the Dogg’, which included the song ‘NFT’. In December 2021, the development of the virtual community “The Snoopverse” of the metaverse “The Sandbox” has started.
