Solana Backpack wallet is equipped with Wormhole, allowing multi-chain swapping

Backpack, a leading wallet on the Solana (SOL) blockchain, has introduced the virtual currency bridge Wormhole.

Users can now bridge and swap tokens between the Solana and Ethereum blockchains within their Backpack wallet.

Wormhole is a protocol that develops compatibility technology between different blockchains, and is compatible with many blockchains such as Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Cosmos. This introduction is a collaboration between Backpack and Wormhole.

Additionally, the Backpack wallet is compatible with the proprietary protocol “xNFT.” xNFT is a technology that converts individual dApps into NFTs and accesses them within the wallet, allowing users to access and use pre-approved and downloaded dApps directly from the wallet app without having to sign each time.

“MadLads,” Backpack’s signature NFT collection, is trading at an ATH floor price of 205 SOL ($23,000).

Wormhole recently announced plans for a token release and airdrop.

The ticker symbol of the token is “W” and the total number of issued tokens is 10 billion. Initial circulation including airdrops is expected to be 1.8 billion tokens.

It is not yet certain when the airdrop will take place, but MadLads holders have already been granted allocation rights.

In addition to wallets, Backpack also operates a centralized exchange, Backpack Exchange. With the introduction of the incentive program, SOL/USDC trading volume broke through the $1 billion barrier on the 19th.
