The effort aims to explore innovative use cases that combine cutting-edge technologies in the Solana ecosystem. Each grant is relatively small, ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, and is open to a wide range of new and existing projects.

The foundation emphasizes that “Solana’s high processing power and scalability can provide unique opportunities for building new ideas with AI.” Solana’s proprietary consensus-building mechanism, Proof of History (PoH), enables fast and efficient transaction processing, which will be critical for real-time interactions with ChatGPT.

Announcing ChatGPT plugin

On the same day, Solana Labs, developer of the Solana blockchain, announced an open-source example implementation of a ChatGPT plugin that allows users to interact directly with the Solana network via ChatGPT. The Solana GitHub page showcases screen captures demonstrating the ChatGPT API implementation, demonstrating user-friendly and intuitive interaction with the Solana network.

Examples include requesting a list of NFTs owned by a particular Solana address, asking for help sending Solana transactions to another address, and asking for help buying NFTs.

Once the ChatGPT plugin is publicly available, users will be able to easily consume Solana-based applications and services via ChatGPT. ChatGPT will be used to connect directly to the Solana network, allowing users to check wallet balances, transfer tokens and buy NFTs.

Various applications and projects are expected to emerge, including decentralized AI platforms like ChatGPT that can train, share and monetize AI models, and Solana-based platforms that can publish and trade AI-generated content as NFTs. Including marketplaces. In addition, AI-driven predictive models and trading algorithms built on Solana have the potential to provide more efficient and accessible financial services.

Major companies in the tech industry are slowly starting to adopt ChatGPT-powered tools. Binance introduced its ChatGPT “Sensei” chatbot on April 24, and crypto-integrated browsers like Opera and Brave have also integrated AI capabilities into their platforms.
