Stattrak partners with lightning wallet ZEBEDEE to offer Bitcoin rewards

Fantasy esports P2E platform Stattrak announced Thursday that it has partnered with Bitcoin wallet ZEBEDEE to integrate the Bitcoin Lightning Network on its platform and offer real Bitcoin rewards to its users.

The Bitcoin lightning network is a scaling solution that is layered on top of the Bitcoin network to solve its scalability issues and enable instant Bitcoin transactions. With the lightning network integration, Stattrak can conduct low-cost microtransactions to offer Bitcoin rewards in real-time.

“With our new ZEBEDEE integration and play-to-earn capabilities, fans can now be rewarded for their love of watching the world’s top League of Legends and CS:GO leagues compete.” Rafael Augusto, founder and CEO of Stattrak, said in the announcement.

Stattrak is a Brazil-based free-to-play and play-to-earn fantasy esports platform where users build a team with real players from the main esports games. Fantasy gaming is an online prediction game where users build a team to compete against other users based on the real-time game performance of players.

New Jersey-based ZEBEDEE raised $11.5 million in its Series A funding round held in September last year. Initial Capital, New Form Capital, TVP, Alexis Bonte, Chris Lee, and others participated in the round.
