Startale Lab supports the idol project with Yasushi Akimoto as general producer and aims to create a killer use case for Web3.
On February 7th, the company announced that it has concluded a strategic partnership agreement in the Web3 area with the aim of establishing and globalizing an idol economic zone using tokens in the idol project handled by YOAKE entertainment.
According to the release, Sota Watanabe, who leads Startale Lab, will be appointed as a director of YOAKE entertainment, and the Ethereum layer 2 “Astar zkEVM”, which the company is developing, will become the Web3 foundation of the project and the token.
YOAKE entertainment brings together companies that are active at the forefront of the entertainment industry, such as Yasushi Akimoto, Asobi System, Twin Planet, and W TOKYO, and in collaboration with Startale Lab, we will combine the power of Web3. The aim is to create a new entertainment economy that anyone with access to the Internet can participate in.
Specifically, we have launched a global entertainment project. Under the general production of Yasushi Akimoto, the group will create and develop male idol groups.
An example of an idol x Web3 initiative is the “IDOL3.0 PROJECT,” which was the fourth IEO in Japan. The project, which raised over 1 billion yen at IEO, also has Yasushi Akimoto as its general producer, and the female idol group “WHITE SCORPION” has already debuted.

At the release, Akimoto said, “The reason I’m interested in Sota is because I don’t really understand him,” and “I can imagine saying to Sota, “Let’s do something like this using Web3.” I don’t think it’s interesting because of the range.”
On the other hand, Watanabe said, “By combining entertainment and Web3 technology, it is possible to record activities on the blockchain, design incentives for those who take specific actions, and allow anyone around the world to participate in events.” It will be.
We will expand the possibilities of entertainment content and compete globally.”
