The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced plans to approve the listing of the first Ethereum futures exchange-traded fund (ETF). This development is expected to open up several opportunities for investment in the cryptocurrency markets, as investors look to find new ways to tap into the growing popularity of Ethereum. Already, nearly a dozen companies, including Volatility Shares, Bitwise, Roundhill, and ProShares, have applied to launch their own Ethereum futures ETFs, with some expected to hit the market as early as October.
