Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash, has been released on bail following his arrest by the US Department of Justice on charges of conspiracy to money laundering, violating sanctions, and running an unlicensed remittance business. His lawyer, Brian Klein, expressed disappointment at the prosecutors for charging Storm with helping develop the software. Storm’s fellow co-founder, Roman Semenov, also faces charges and sanctions from the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.
