Former President Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate for the US presidential election, called artificial intelligence (AI) “dangerous” in an interview with Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business. “It’s scary,” he said, underscoring the horror of deepfakes, which can do anything from creating fake product advertisements to changing the course of a war.
“I saw a video the other day of someone having me give a speech about a product. I don’t endorse that product, but I can’t tell it’s false. It looks like I’m endorsing it.” he stated. “You could get involved in a war or something else.”
“We’ve got to do something about this, and we’ve got to do it fast,” Trump continued, adding that AI is “probably the most dangerous thing, because there’s no real solution.”
During the interview, Trump also attacked CBDCs, calling them “very dangerous.”
Trump also said in an interview that he would not allow Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to continue in his role, calling him “political.”
“It looks to me like they’re trying to lower interest rates to get elected,” Trump said.
