Craig Wright, an Australian computer scientist who has claimed to be the inventor of Bitcoin, has been ordered by a UK judge to pay $516,000 in order to pursue his case against cryptocurrency exchanges Kraken and Coinbase. Tulip Trading sues exchanges over alleged unauthorized use of billions in Bitcoin. The judge ruled that Tulip Trading must provide this security in order to cover the exchanges’ potential legal costs if the case fails. Wright has been involved in several legal disputes, including a controversy over falsely claiming to be Bitcoin’s creator.
