US OpenAI Announces Subscription Plan for Conversational AI Language Model “ChatGPT”

US OpenAI announced on the 2nd that it will introduce a subscription plan for AI language model “ChatGPT”. Paid users are guaranteed peak usage and receive benefits such as faster response times and priority access to new features and improvements.

The $20 monthly (2,500 yen) subscription plan “ChatGPT Plus” will initially be available only to US users. After that, it will be expanded to users registered on the waiting list. OpenAI has indicated that it plans to expand support for ChatGPT Plus to other countries and regions in the future.

ChatGPT is an interactive AI language model designed to answer user questions as if they were having a conversation with a human. It has a wide range of uses, including content creation, report creation, and software code design, and has surpassed 1 million users in less than a week since its release on November 30, 2010.

In January, IT giant Microsoft announced an investment plan of 1.3 trillion yen ($10 billion). The financial market, such as, has a high degree of attention among speculators.

OpenAI plans to improve and expand the content of ChatGPT based on user feedback and needs. We are also considering other options for ChatGPT subscription plans, such as lower-priced plans, business plans and data packs.

AI-related stocks soar

At the end of January, the US digital media company BuzzFeed was reported to be planning to provide content using OpenAI’s AI technology, and the company’s stock price (BZFD) soared 119% from the previous day.

Due to the popularity of “ChatGPT” on Twitter, etc., speculative buying is also gathering in AI (artificial intelligence)-related crypto assets (virtual currencies). According to data from CoinMarketCap, FetchAI (FET) and DeepBrain (DBC) are up about 250% since the beginning of the year. SingularityNET (AGIX), which provides an AI marketplace, is up 400% year-to-date (at the time of writing).

Compared to the aforementioned tokens, the trading volume is higher, and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) and Numerai (NMR), which are listed on major exchanges such as Binance and US Coinbase, are also up around 100% year-to-date. Ocean will build a data tokenization marketplace, and Numerai will provide an AI-driven investment strategy marketplace.
