Smartphone manufacturer Vertu has unveiled its Web3 phone aimed at luxury audiences. Named Metavertu, the smartphone will be available for purchase as of November 3 and will come with a plethora of Web3 features.
These features include helpful dApps and the quick creation of a digital wallet. One of those dApps allows you to use Metavertu as a validator or node on the Ethereum network, and another one makes it possible to mint NFTs based on photos or videos with just a single click. There’s also a messaging application that includes decentralized features such as DAOs. Users can also switch to a Web2 mode at any time.
Metavertu’s specifications include Qualcomm SnapDragon 8 CPU, 2400×1080 AMOLED display, 12 GB RAM, and a camera system with three lenses. That all sounds quite interesting, but the average user will find the $3,600 entry-level price to be a bit expensive. Wealthy customers, on the other hand, can go for the best model with more RAM, storage space, and “Himalaya Alligator leather”, gold and diamond finishes, which is priced at the whooping $41,000.
