American payments giant Visa is looking to hire undergraduate students to expand its internal crypto talent pool. For this, the firm has announced a Crypto Development Program that seeks to train candidates residing in the United States.

Visa’s new Crypto Development Program is an 18-month rotational development experience “designed to build a fully fluent cryptocurrency team now and for the future.”

Per the company’s job post, the recruits would be required to experience job roles in three departments: Crypto Product, Crypto Solutions, and Digital Partnerships, over the course of 18 months. The hiring post read:

“The program supports Visa’s mission to build a strong entry level pipeline of talent with deep subject matter expertise in the Crypto space. In addition to meaningful rotations, Associates are given training & development, mentoring, networking and leadership exposure.”

The development program will allow graduates to develop subject matter expertise in specific areas of Crypto, including DeFi, NFTs, Stablecoins, Central Bank Digital Currencies, and more. Graduates will also learn how crypto platforms work, how to build partnerships, and how crypto companies can leverage Visa products, amongst others.

Visa has been ramping up its efforts to expand its foray into the cryptocurrency business. The firm recently established a crypto consultancy service to enable banks and merchants to build their business in the sector. Visa also invested in TRM Labs’ $80 million Series B round in December last year.
