Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has highlighted the risks associated with Worldcoin’s iris-scanning identity verification system. The risks listed are privacy, accessibility, centralization, and security. Worldcoin wants users to install an app and have their irises scanned by a device called the Orb to verify their humanity and iris uniqueness, creating an iris hash. Buterin suggests combining the three current approaches to PoP to mitigate the risks.
