Thirdverse, which develops VR games in Japan and the United States, announced on November 30th that it has raised a total of 1.2 billion yen through third-party allotment. The total amount raised, including the amount raised before the company split in May, reaches 5.7 billion yen.

The sources include B Dash Ventures, Shinsei Corporate Investment, NOW, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, and Thirdverse Representative Director and CEO Hirohisa Kunimitsu.

In November, the official service of “X8”, a VR multiplayer hero shooter developed by Thirdverse US studio, was launched. The company plans to release “SOUL COVENANT,” which was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2023, in early 2024, and will continue to develop new VR games and strengthen the recruitment of development teams.

Kunimitsu commented in the release, “What we place most importance on is providing many opportunities for creators to continue to challenge ideas they think are good.”
