Illuvium and Team Liquid partner up
Blockchain game Illuvium announced on November 30th that it will partner with Team Liquid, one of the world’s largest esports teams.
Team Liquid will test lluvium’s PVP (player vs player) battle feature and provide advice on game development.

Team Liquid is the world’s largest professional e-sports team, founded in 2000. It has over 120 professional players who are active in famous game titles such as League of Legends (LoL) and Fortnite, and has also entered into a partnership with Coinbase, a major US crypto asset (virtual currency) exchange.

What is esports?
It is an abbreviation for Electronic Sports, and the name refers to video games as a sport. It is often held as a multiplayer game tournament. Its popularity has grown thanks to the proliferation of online streaming platforms, and as of 2017, the worldwide audience is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions. There are various competitions such as shooting, fighting, puzzles, and card games.

The partnership will see Team Liquid streamers play and broadcast live Ilbium PvP battles. Additionally, they plan to release Team Liquid-themed character skins and avatars in the form of NFTs.
They also plan to jointly hold a tournament with a total prize pool of over 14.8 million yen ($100,000). Victor Goossens, founder and co-CEO of Team Liquid, commented:
We’ve been impressed with the quality of Ilbium games we’ve seen so far. Just like the various games that Liquid Team has participated in, we believe this is a game that rewards player skill and strategy.
Additionally, League of Legends player “Broxah” and content creator “Midbeast” are also expected to participate in Ilbium’s project.

Ilbium’s market strategy
Ilbium is an open world RPG adventure game built on Ethereum’s (ETH) L2 scaling solution ImmutableX.
It is one of the “Play to Earn” games where you can earn money by playing, and you can earn the in-game currency “ILV” while training monsters and engaging in interpersonal battles.

Ilbium is a fantasy NFT game that can be enjoyed in four modes: team-based auto-strategy battle “Arena”, monster-catching “Overworld”, city-building “Zero”, and card collection game “Beyond”.
Co-founder Kieran Warwick said the company was able to expand its reach by offering games from multiple genres.
Although each of the four modes is an independent game, they are interoperable, and the reward system is also introduced across boundaries.
