After obtaining a license to operate in the United Kingdom, Crypto.com continues its expansion. The crypto exchange has now announced that it will be investing some $145 million in its new European headquarters in Paris, France.
Apart from setting up the HQ, that figure will be directed toward hiring French developers and finance professionals. According to the company’s representative, the exchange is looking to contribute to the emerging digital economy in France. Thus, Crypto.com joins another popular exchange, Binance, which became the first major crypto exchange to be granted a French operating license, back in May 2022.
Despite the news of some layoffs this year, Crypto.com seems to be doing rather well recently. It reported more than 50 million users on the platform, and signed a deal to become FIFA World’s Cup official sponsor, adding to its previous partnerships with Formula 1 and UFC.
