LayerZero supports zkSync
LayerZero, a protocol for blockchain interoperability, announced on the 27th that it has started supporting Ethereum (ETH) L2 project “zkSync”.

LayerZero is an omnichain interoperability protocol that allows messages to be sent between different blockchains. By deploying ultra-light nodes on each blockchain, we build a network in which all nodes are directly connected.
This enables the transmission of data and instructions between smart contracts on each blockchain, while balancing security and cost efficiency.
More than 30 mainnet chains have already been connected to LayerZero, and in addition to cross-chain applications using LayerZero such as Stargate and Aptos Bridge, it is also used as the foundation for multi-chain strategies of traditional decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap and SushiSwap. ing.
zkSync released its mainnet (alpha version) to all users in March. Classified as “zkEVM”, it is a L2 solution compatible with Ethereum’s Virtual Machine (EVM). Key features include a processing capacity of 2,000 transactions per second (tps), extremely low transaction fees, a trustless protocol with zero-knowledge proofs, and users having complete control over their funds.
With LayerZero’s support for zkSync, dApps (decentralized apps) developed on LayerZero will be able to achieve cross-chain transactions to zkSync. In the future, we expect the emergence of use cases that incorporate zkSync into cross-chain decentralized exchanges, multi-chain interest rate aggregators, and cross-chain lending.

Additionally, LayerZero is compatible with ETH’s L2 project and can be connected to Optimism, Arbitrum, and more. According to the official documentation, the blockchains supported by LayerZero at the time of writing include Ethereum, Aptos (APT), Avalanche (AVAX), Polygon (MATIC), Harmony (ONE), BNB Chain (BNB), Phantom ( FTM), etc.
It also allows products developed on zkSync to exchange messages and assets with other chains through LayerZero. According to statistics site DeFillama, SyncSwap (decentralized exchange), ReactorFusion (lending) and UniDex (derivatives trading) are the top protocols in each category of zkSync.
On the 21st, 1inch Network, a major DeFi (decentralized finance) aggregator, began supporting zkSync.
